VOCATION TO THE RELIGIOUS LIFE

A religious vocation is a special grace that God gives to certain individual. It is a gift but a gift conditioned upon our efforts to raise and discover them. In today’s world, young people are easily attracted and drawn towards the values of the world. Consecrated/religious life is no longer a fulfilling option for the young. Nevertheless, through various programs and activities, we thank God for constantly sending young girls who are interested in Religious Life and who desired to know more about our Congregation.

POSTULANCY

Postulancy (Pre-Novitiate) is a time of discernment. Therefore, Postulancy Formation Programme is an integrating process of personal growth (Every human aspect especially spiritual). The Formandees will be led towards the integration of their emotional, spiritual, physical, intellectual, moral and social values. This ongoing growth and transformation hopefully will bring the Formandees to an understanding and ability to discern the will of God in regards to their religious vocation and their commitment into it.

NOVITIATE

Religious life begins with the Novitiate. The length of the Novitiate is two years. The first year is spent in the Novitiate community in an atmosphere of prayer and recollection, with a program designed to allow the novice to open herself more and more to the Spirit and be led by Him. (FSIC Cons. Art. 21) The peaceful and quiet atmosphere in the Novitiate enables the novices to develop their interior union with Christ. The daily schedules of Community and personal prayers and especially their participation in the daily Eucharist and Lectio Divina deepen their understanding of prayer and they strive to grow into intimacy with Christ.

During the second year, the novice may be given one or more periods of formative apostolic experience in another house of the Congregation. The exercise of fraternal corrections refines further the quality of relationship with one another and with Christ. Grown into the intimacy with Christ, the novice will now be determined to stay with Him. She will then make her First Profession which is her first total commitment to God within the Congregation.

POST NOVITIATE
